physiological opiate tolerance & dependence on Tianeptine?

starting taking it 3x daily. This seems like a recipe for absolute disaster since it's a mu-opiod agonist. what's the consensus on this? plenty of people seem to use it chronically w/o problems.

Yeah, at least three days. About the same as when I went off hydrocodone after a month or so after a surgery. Nothing compared to the brief experience I've had in the past with higher affinity mu-agonists, but similar with hot/cold flashes, lethargy, and sleeplessness being the main symptoms.
It's weird because I don't really like the opioidergic effects that much from tianeptine so the dose escalation hasn't been to get high, just to retain the antidepressant and anxiolytic effects. I think better dose control is probably all that's really needed.

Yeah, that is what I am thinking too. It's all about dose control. And I know what you mean about the opioid feelings. They are nowhere near as clean/euphoric as a real opiate.
