physiological opiate tolerance & dependence on Tianeptine?

starting taking it 3x daily. This seems like a recipe for absolute disaster since it's a mu-opiod agonist. what's the consensus on this? plenty of people seem to use it chronically w/o problems.

Keep it below 20mg tid and you wont have an issue (you'll also have much less tolerance to the mood-elevating effects). At 40-50mg four or five times a day I have had a very minor withdrawal for 2-3 days similar to high-affinity opioids but nowhere near as bad (still not something that I would want to go through if I had things to do those days).
Other delta agonists seem to be antidepressants and neurogenics (I think buprenorphine has delta activity--among a ton of other actions--and is quite effective for depression) so I'm not sure that tianeptine's opioid activity is as trivial as it seems (but yeah, it's a shit mu-agonist).

150-250mg per day?!? Damn man. How long did you use it at those dosages?
