Could acid catalyzed hydrolysis of esters/amides be effecting your nootropic experience?

Original post in this thread

DocDimethyl · 8 points

1) Many nootropics have ester or amide functional groups (Noopept, all of the racetams, any peptide derived molecules, etc.).
2) The stomach has a pH of around 2 (HCl).
3) Esters and amides can be cleaved by a proton catalyzed reaction.

So would the bio availability of nootropics be enhanced by taking simple antacids to try to neutralize the stomach acids?

That is why we tout the sublingual administration method. This is especially true for things like noopept. Your GI tract is most definitely playing a role in how effective your noots are. Just do a back to back test with oral and sublingual, and you will immediately see a difference. 10mg oral noopept does nothing. However, 10mg sublingually works perfect. Coluracetam is similar too. It is subject to hydrolysis like noooept is.

Inflamed Liver from Nootropics

Replying to Bavarian0 · I highly suspect that I'm interested in the problematic products, though not exclusively. I'm interested in: - Advanced Racetam Sample Pack - Piracetam (Prescription here) - Co

I checked with my team, and they said none of those products have been an issue to Germany recently. I don't really do any coaching. For one, I have to be careful about what I suggest in an official capacity for legal a

I'll probably be the one that breaks the "Don't take all these new racetams at the same time" rule! We'll confer notes.

Nacreous? That's a rarely used word. Did you like the coluracetam? The tianeptine should be out in the next week or two. I just need to get the labels printed.

Racetams are not pointless without choline. There are a lot of other actions they have apart from facilitating ACh transmission. You also cannot bundle all the racetams together like that. Many of them have very differe
