Could acid catalyzed hydrolysis of esters/amides be effecting your nootropic experience?

1) Many nootropics have ester or amide functional groups (Noopept, all of the racetams, any peptide derived molecules, etc.).
2) The stomach has a pH of around 2 (HCl).
3) Esters and amides can be cleaved by a proton catalyzed reaction.
So would the bio availability of nootropics be enhanced by taking simple antacids to try to neutralize the stomach acids?

True. Isnt there a bit of a nasty burning taste with the sublingual method?

If you just take the powder. Our sublingual solutions hide the tastes fairly well. I really like the taste of our noopept. The coluracetam is ok. It's harder to mask that flavor.
