Um, no. If you have Netflix go watch the Alaska Experiment. Hunting and gather in various environments is actually a very difficult skill that requires a lot of hard core decision making and a deep understanding of your environment. This show is also really interesting to watch as you get to see the effects that long term(20-30 days) starvation has on a human.
I'd also recommend Ray Mears' Wild Food.

That was more of a sarcastic comment than a scientific one. Quickly is a relative term. I know most people would be screwed if they needed to live the way humans did back then. However, I also know many academically intelligent people that can live off the land. I would argue that learning to live off the land for a modern human, would be easier than learning difficult mathematical and scientific concepts for an early human. Obviously I cannot prove that, but given what we know about learning, I think it's a reasonable statement.
