Engraved stone dating back 30,000 years found in China. Incisions imply possibility of counting or recording?

Eh, they were as much if not more subject to environmental stimuli, and whatever you mean by "intellectual capacity" would only compare lower to ours because the measures we use to gauge that, like IQ tests, wouldn't be very helpful.

They would be less able to interpret art, music, science, multiple languages, etc. They would have never been exposed to any of the things we are, which would mean that there would be no neural connections in the brain regions associated with said stimuli. As an adult, their brains would have much less ability to form these neural connections, and they would find it very difficult to learn these tasks or concepts. This would also be exacerbated by malnutrition and environmental factors like illness as children. Their brain structure would absolutely be different!
