Exactly. Genomically, we are probably 99.99999 percent the same, but the exogenous effect on humans (the actual organism built from the genome) is huge.

And our knowledge of how to use our brains is much more developed now. The more we learn, the faster we learn. It's an interesting time to be a human! Not that other times weren't, but we are at the transitional period of our species. My grandfather lived on a farm with no electricity, and I may live to see a human settlement on Mars. It's pretty exciting that I can relate to basic human existence, and the next frontier of space travel and artificial intelligence.
