Super rich hiding up to $32 trillion offshore, which amounts to roughly the US and Japanese GDP combined. Up to $280bn is lost in tax revenues. Some of the world's biggest banks are involved: HSBC, Citigroup, Bank of America, UBS, Credit Suisse

I think the mentality would be 'I worked so hard for this cash and the government takes half of it'
But you (he) didn't. Unless he manually dug 10 million worth of gold out of the ground by himself, he didn't make all that cash on his own. It's because of our whole society, which is supported in many ways by the government, that he is able to set up a business that makes money. I can guarantee it's much easier to set up a lucrative business in the US than it is in Somalia, even though if you set it up in a lawless area you don't need to pay taxes (though you probably do have to pay protection money or something). It is especially disgraceful if this person EVER used a government service (police, roadworks, etc) for something.
As far as I'm concerned, it's not an unfair theft of his money. It's him repaying society for the money he was able to make in it.

Police and roadwork are paid for by property and sales tax. I agree with your emotional response to the illegal actions of the man in question. However, I hate the incorrect equation of income taxes to police, roads, and schools.
