Its pretty poor logic. Also several states, such as Florida are engaging in voter suppression.

Also states rights dont always equal rights of the individuals.

Issues like gay marriage, abortion, marijuana should be legalized by the federal government..so each individual has a choice.

I fully agree. However, the revenue stream and management should be at a state and local level. Macromanagement is usually way less efficient than running local issues at a local level. But yes, basic rights should be regulated at the national level.

While I agree, the poverty line here in the US is slightly higher than many countries. I've seen things in Egypt, Mexico, India, Africa etc. that are on a whole other scale.
