Is that new or has it always been that way? I interpreted the original language as they expire based on when the original earning order took place.

It has always been that way. I explained it in the post when we launched it.

It's how all rewards point systems work, like with airlines and hotels. If you keep flying and staying in the hotel, your points don't expire. If you just stop taking flights, staying nights, or spending points, they expire. Same concept.
