Still no free international shipping to Canada for > 200 $ orders. :(

We shut off all shipping services to Canada that go through Canada Post, because your postal workers are having rolling strikes still. This is causing standard shipping to take up to 8 weeks or more, which we get blamed for, so we decided to just shut it all off for now. The main total strike is over, but there are still rolling strikes across Canada, with huge backlogs. The last time this happened, we had customers pissed off at us that we were not all controlling of the postal system in Canada... or that we didn't properly warn them how long it might take. This time I decided to just avoid it entirely, and only allow services to Canada that avoid Canada Post till it is all worked through. We are still offering free shipping to Canada, but the minimum is now $500. That's because we are going to ship all orders FedEx International Connect Plus with priority service. This is a more expensive option, but it usually get there in 3 days. For the economics of it to make sense for us, the order has to be $500 for us to pick up the cost of that. Any Canadian can manually select FICP at checkout if they want for smaller orders. It will just be free over $500.
