After a long 9 month development process, I am proud to announce that the new Nootropics Depot site is now live! We listened to a lot of feedback from customers, and went back to the drawing board. We have known for a while that we needed a change, but did not pull the trigger till now. Not only did we update the site design, but we used this as an opportunity to really take a look at what we were doing right and wrong. As part of this process, we completely revamped the way we talk about our products. We simplified our menu and category structures to make it easier to find products you might want. Long gone is the confusing web of categories we used to have. Now every product has a single primary use category, with the ability to check other filters on the results page. These primary use categories have their own easy-to-spot icons. Then each product also has 4 benefit tags, with corresponding icons of their own. This makes it much more clear for customers as to what the benefits of a product are. Also, each category page will show each of these 4 benefit icons ne…

Looking good!
I've got a few thoughts:
1) On the checkout page on mobile, where you enter the coupon code comes after where you enter payment info.
The problem is, if you enter a coupon after entering payment info, it clears the payment info and then you need to re-enter it!
Whereas on desktop only, there's the sidebar on the right where you can enter the coupon as well, so you don't have to scroll past payment info just to enter that.
I never actually checked if the desktop site has the same problem with entering coupon after payment info, but I'd guess it probably does?
2) If you search for "EpiCor": https://nootropicsdepot.com/search.php?search_query=EpiCor
First of all, the search suggests "did you mean: editor". That's silly, search should be aware of words that appear in product names. That said, it does also suggest EpiCor's brand, Embria Health Science, which is a nice touch.
Second, "EpiCor® Powder" is the first result, then "EpiCor Capsules" is second. Capsules should be first, ideally. The "®" in one but not the other is probably why.
3) "Lactose free", "Gluten free", and "GMO free" badges probably get too much screen real estate.
I sorta get why food labels always throw those in for BS marketing purposes, even when it's blatantly obvious they'd inherently be free of those things.
Also, for products that contain no fillers (like EpiCor Powder), that "…

Wow, sure enough... It does it on both mobile and desktop. If you enter a coupon code after putting in payment details, it refreshes the page and removes the payment data, forcing you to have to enter it all again. I will bring that up with the developer, as that is annoying!

Ohh yeah, we are addressing the search issues already. It completely changed how our search function works, which is annoying. We are working with the developers to fix that.

This is less a marketing thing, and more something our customer support asked us to do. We would get these questions ALL THE TIME. Our support team would have to respond to their questions daily, and then some people would complain that they had to even ask, and said that we should just make that clear on the page. That's why we did it. Remember, many people are just really stupid and lazy. Things that might seem obvious to you and I are not to some others. Also, these tags are product-specific. We only have them show up on products they pertain to. Some will be vegan. Others like KSM-66 will only be vegetarian, since they use milk in the process. Some products are not non-GMO. Some are not lactose or gluten free. So they are not just tags that show up everywhere as a marketing ploy. They are all set individually product-by-product through our new back end database system.
