What compares to Fasoracetam in terms of anxiety and mood uplift?

Fasoracetam is the first racetam I've tried and I've been taking to for a month now along with alpha gpc and prescribed adderall.

I want to know if anyone has experienced Fasoracetam and other nootropics and found something similar but better.

I've noticed Faso makes me sorta more happy, and reduces the edge to adderall, also it almost seems like it gives me energy or motivation after a good nights sleep.

These effects are sort of subtle and short lived (like 2-3 hours, plus like almost a better rest of the day "glow" after it wears off) though and Faso is quite expensive.

So anyone have something similar? Would another racetam be the next best choice? Or is there something better?

Why would you ever combine a barely studied research chemical with amphetamines?? For an extended period of time no less! Fasoracetam is quite possibly a GABA antagonist, and a GABA antagonist + amphetamines could equal serious excitotoxicity. I'm hesitant to take a barely studied RC for short periods of time without stimulants. This kind of shit absolutely blows my mind.

Fasoracetam modulates adenylate cyclase activity by stimulating the metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs). GABA receptors have been demonstrated to be negatively coupled to adenylate cyclase via PTX-sensitive G-proteins. So this is how Fasoracetam both reverses memory issues caused by baclofen and phenibut, and up-regulates GABAb receptors. It is NOT a GABAb antagonist.

Not that I disagree with your assessment that it should not be combined with Amphetamine, due to lack of interaction data. Activation of the metabotropic glutamate receptors when taking Amphetamine could cause issues. However, it is not a GABAb antagonist. The metabotropic glutamate receptors are not like ionic receptors, but actually modulate signaling cascades downstream. That's how activation of the mGluRs can affect expression of other ionic receptors, like GABAb. That negative coupling of mGluRs and GABAb are how Fasoracetam can be stimulating, and reverse memory deficits from GABAb antagonists, while still leading to their up-regulation.

Fasoracetam

Replying to vapefker · > It is NOT directly binding to GABAb, and is not a GABAb antagonist like many state. Thanks for pointing this out, as many people falsely claim it to be. One would assume a GABAb

Fasoracetam does up-regulate GABAb. So it can help with that side of Phenibut tolerance. However, Phenibut also stimulates dopamine receptors and antagonizes β-phenethylamine. So it will not affect those tolerance levels
