Recently got some Kanna (Sceletium Tortuosum) which is a south african plant with psychoactive properties. It apparently functions as an Serotonin release agent and an SRI
so far iv had great effects with the substance (300mg sublingual)
* Effects kick in after a few minutes
* Duration is seemingly much longer than tianeptine (8+ hours)
* There is no crash
* neuroprotective
* improves focus
* The anti-anxiety effect is stronger than tianeptine, compares to phenibut for me
* increases empathy, great for socialising
* Stimulating at first but then mellows out (great for relaxing sleep)
* The appetite suppressing effect is quite noticeable
i cant believe this stuff isnt more popular really. the feeling on it i would nearly describe as similar to low dose MDMA
*****EDIT****
Here is another review i found that was similar to my own experiences

Would this substance present a risk for serotonin syndrome if combined with an SSRI, or are its effects localised in the brain?
Just saw your answer below, still would like to hear any more thoughts you may have

No, serotonin syndrome is not as easy to cause as most people think. I would not combine Zembrin with an irreversible MAOI, as that would slow the breakdown of serotonin and have more kept in the synapse. However, two SRI compounds are not going to compound. One is going to have a higher binding affinity than the other, and displace it from the SERT. It's when you start blocking the SERT, or releasing serotonin, AND slowing its breakdown with an MAOI that you start to have issues.
As always, please speak to your doctor about it before adding things in with your prescription SSRIs.
