Is something wrong with the NA-Semax I bought?

2 months ago I decided to order some Semax. I was thoroughly impressed with the results. My recall was drastically improved. People's names, obscure corners of my vocabulary; all at the tip of my tongue. What little social anxiety I had was completely erased and even my squash game was markedly improved.
So if Semax worked good for me, NA-Semax should be even better, right? So far, not so much. I mean... I think it does something, but it's a bit harder to quantify.
My experience seems contrary to everything I've heard here [i.e. Semax<NA-Semax<Semax-Amidate]. Do you think there's something wrong with this particular order or have others had a similar experience?

I've tried all of them, and I felt Semax the most.
I think, as I do with most tangible effects, it's all mediated by adrenal function. Same with the racetams. (Primary culprit, at least--obviously an oversimplification.) I think when people talk about a "high" it's pretty much always to do with a change in sympathetic tone. That is a central part of the body's arousal processes, after all.

Well the stimulating part of Semax is certainly the ACTH fragment. However, the more nootropic/BDNF side of things comes from the proline-glycine-proline end. I think many people are judging the effects on the stimulation alone, and not giving the BDNF effects time to manifest.
