Is something wrong with the NA-Semax I bought?

2 months ago I decided to order some Semax. I was thoroughly impressed with the results. My recall was drastically improved. People's names, obscure corners of my vocabulary; all at the tip of my tongue. What little social anxiety I had was completely erased and even my squash game was markedly improved.
So if Semax worked good for me, NA-Semax should be even better, right? So far, not so much. I mean... I think it does something, but it's a bit harder to quantify.
My experience seems contrary to everything I've heard here [i.e. Semax<NA-Semax<Semax-Amidate]. Do you think there's something wrong with this particular order or have others had a similar experience?

Oh, I think the body is making some adjustments in the first week that you take Semax. Based on my experience, it can lower cortisol levels. I would imagine that's due to the premature activation of feedback mechanisms in the endocrine system.
Perhaps that's part of the difference the functional groups of the analogues do, is make them less recognizeable to the feedback systems. Actually, I just went digging and found a study showing the suppression of cortisol via administration of an enkephalin analogue.

It could very well be the enkephalinase inhibiting effect of Semax causing a drop in cortisol levels. That would actually make a lot of sense. Endogenous endorphins normalize stress hormones. Semax slowing the breakdown of endogenous endorphins could cause that feedback loop to be stronger.
