Let's talk about the future

After placing my most recent order, I realized that I have spent a lot of money on my experimental hobby. I've started to pick favorites and only use things that seem to work well for me, but only the best things on the market currently are consistently effective. I believe that mankind is ready to begin auto-evolution to some degree, and I want to be part of the result. Most nootropics users I know have a strong belief that nootropics may change the world one day, so why don't we bring change sooner?

Currently there aren't many businesses leading the way in novel products and services. Ceretropic is great, but they can't be the only ones looking for info. The best way to discover and experience more of the world of nootropics is to invest time to learn about different substances and share what you learn. The key to advancing our community is discourse, but lately there had been more shopping for answers that exchange of knowledge.

What they were answering

The food and drug laws in the US are a lot different than in Russia. Also, patent laws vary between countries. Even the laws in the US are vague enough to be interpreted in different ways by different agencies. But yes, people in Russia are more likely to have used things like Semax and Phenylpiracetam. We have Russian customers that tell us they just go down to the store and pickup tons of things OTC. They say the compounds are not really actively marketed, though. It's just a different mindset and environment than in the US.

The real issue is that self enhancement is a new concept for many people. Everyone is used to being told to take something by a doctor, solely for the treatment of a disease/disorder. The nootropic movement is more about personal freedom, and enhancement past baseline. Many people are attempting to treat aspects of themselves that they feel are lacking; like anxiety, depression, memory, brain fog, etc. But more and more, people are realizing that there is no such thing as a standard baseline. Everyone has something that could be improved; even if those things are not necessarily correlated with a diagnosable disease. I have a mast cell disorder, so I treat that with antihistamines. However, am also a poor methylator; which is not really a diagnosable disease. So I self-treat with trimethylglycine and methyl-B12 to correct that. When I brought my genetic testing results into my GP, and even my immunologist, they had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. So obviously they did not prescribe me methyl donors to help balance those genetic mutations. I had to research on my own, and try things out, to find what worked best for me. That is the essence of the nootropics movement at the present time. People are realizing that we have access to an immense amount of information now, which makes self-experimentation feasible; whether that experimentation is attempting to treat a perceived deficiency, or to enhance oneself past a baseline.

So there is certainly incentive to develop nootropics. I am attempting to do that now, and not only hope to make headway on making certain ones more mainstream, but also hopefully make the legal environment in the US more conducive to self-experimentation.
