Will 23andme offer any insight into improving my cognition?

This may not be the correct subreddit to post this, but /r/nootropics seem to be leagues ahead of others in regards to cognitive knowledge.
I'm thinking about doing a saliva test with these guys to provide me with any details I could use to direct my efforts toward increasing my cognition. Is this a waste of time/money, or could I find any possible leads? Thanks.

Thank you! Your insightful reply really helped me to make sense of it.
Are there also supplements to alleviate the MAO-A and COMT situation, i.e. help with the breakdown of neurotransmitters? Normally I read that people try MAOIs to inhibit the breakdown but in my case just the opposite seems to be advised.
Next time I order any nootropic, I will go to your site even though you are on the other side of the Atlantic.

Lithium can help regulate COMT. It takes a while to work, though. MAO-A expression is kind of hard to change. Oxidative stress up-regulates MAO-A. However, you don't really want to do that! The best approach is to try and balance your methylation cycle, so that you keep your neurotransmitter production stable, and your SAMe levels even.
