Noohack.com example of hyperbolic exaggerating language.

Sorry to call you out Noohack, but it pisses me off to see companies do this. You're new and you should not go down this road. You're not the only company that exaggerates the effects of nootropics, but this is one of the worst examples I've seen in a while, barring a few notable exceptions.

Oxiracetam does not give you a photographic memory, no "nootropic" does, at least not yet. (And no, saying "near" doesn't help). This is such an exaggeration it might as well be a lie. The old Nootropics.co.uk used to sell similar products (pressed pills of pure powder), but from what I saw they only repeated what the scientific literature said and gave you links to all those studies if you wanted to see them. There's many ways to make a substance sound more effective than it is in a much more honest way.

I expect most people that come to the site anyway will be people that already know about the substance and just want a good deal from a trustworthy vendor. If people (are stupid enough) to buy a product without researching it first, they will be disappointed and you'll have to deal with the complaints and you may even put someone off nootropics com…

This kind of thing is so common in the nootropics world, very annoying. Unfortunately honest descriptions ("May slightly improve memory and focus in individuals suffering from acute stress or TBI" and the like) don't get the stupid people who watch Limitless to buy whatever drug is being peddled.

Ceretropic's a good vendor and MisterYouAreSoDumb seems like a great guy, but they've got their own problems. He's pretty crazy with his own drug use and I don't think he really understands that "normal" people will look at something like phenylpiracetam hydrazide and think that it's a safe, studied compound because there's no real indication that it has the potential to be unsafe, except for the not for human consumption warning that every unapproved drug has. This has the potential to cause a lot of harm, as small modifications to existing compounds can cause huge changes in how they work.

And yes, I'm still a bit butthurt about 9-Flurenol being called Hydrafinil. It's just as misleading as calling 2-FA "Zadderall" or whatever.

I have big red warnings on all the new and untested products. What else should I do, besides not offering them at all? We do not advertise, so I am not trying to get new users to buy anything, much less the new untested things.

I already admitted the naming of Hydrafinil was premature. However, what is done is done. Everyone calls it that now. I kind of wish I had changed P21 to a specific name, since P21 was just a moniker for that single study that used it, and conflicts with another substance named P21. However, I have stuck with P21, even though it probably makes more sense to change it.

Also, I think I am probably the only vendor that immediately discourages people from using our new products when people make a post about them. Go back through the posts about 9-fluorenol and phenyl hydrazide. I am the top comment telling people that it is brand new and untested, and should not be taken without knowing the risks. Other than not offering new things at all, there is not much more I can do.

I can just change all my descriptions to what I currently have piracetam set to. "You want some piracetam? Okay then."
