Empathogens

While not nootropics per se, empathogens can help us get access to a kind of information that we can use for making better decisions, I believe.
Commonly, MDMA and several popular hallucinogenic compounds increase empathy in humans - but with potentially unwanted effects.
Are we aware of any substances with a reduced risk of hallucinating, legal risks, and less toxicity? The recent comments on NSI-189 and hyper-emotionality make me wonder about empathy.

i must be an outlier as ~15 mg a day and nothing emotional. It will be interesting to see the results of the human trials to see if anyone on that has it.
Mind you isn't it going through as an anti-depressent as well as Alzheimer's? That would explain the emotion triggers.

Well I was taking 40mg twice per day. So perhaps your dosage is too low. However, there are reports of people not noticing anything on it. You might be one of those people.
