SEMAX as an antidepressant?

Since both SEMAX and ketamine have been shown to increase BDNF singificantly after adminstration.[1][2]
Furthermore, BDNF increase is suggested as a biomarker relevant to antidepressant response for ketamine[2] and other more common antidepressants.[3]

Soo, did anyone notice any kind of effects on depression/low mood from SEMAX?
NOTE: I don't have any experience with SEMAX.

Thing is when "consulting doctors" at least where I am in the Uk anything like this will be met with "no just dont" and then they will have it on file and they will be very apprehensive about anything you go on to tell them in the future. The default response will be no thats a bad idea simply because its not in the NHS handbook, and obviously taking anything off label would be really frowned upon.

That is true. It's kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Luckily I have a doctor that will at least listen to me for a bit. She does not always fully understand what I go into, but she definitely has brought up points I did not consider before. Even if one out of ten times she is helpful, at least it is something.
But yeah, if you have an asshole doctor that is going to ignore you and put you on a watch list, then fuck them. Find a new doctor, or be prepared for some serious personal research.
