Nuance: CDP Choline vs Alpha GPC

Original post in this thread

It's easy to find clinical comparisons between CDP and Alpha GPC, but those are hard to relate to.

I've tried both and I can't tell if I'm getting different effects or if they're pretty much the same. But here's the thing: I don't know what to look for. I figure that longer-term users who have experimented with both may have some insight on that. ???

What they were answering

PS: I thought of a good analogy. Many people walk into a museum with modern art, and it's all just random-looking squares and bizarre shapes. But someone with a practiced eye can explain the architecture of Mondrian's squares, or Picasso's cubistic paintings in a way that puts them into perspective.

I know modern art pretty well, but I'm getting up to speed on nootropics. I don't know exactly what I'm looking at yet. There are obviously some here with that keen eye... or brain as it would be in this case.

Well that is going to take time. We can read all the studies we want. However, knowing how those mechanisms feel is totally different.

A better analogy is wine. Most people taste a wine and do not notice the subtle nuanced differences in taste and mouthfeel. You can read about it, and get an idea in your head what tannins taste like, or what mouthfeel is, but you won't really taste the difference until you try enough of it.

But the differences in feeling between CDP and alpha GPC are even more subtle than that. I notice that CDP gives me more depressive feelings than an equal amount of GPC, but other than that they "feel" pretty much the same.

Now the difference between something like piracetam and coluracetam or phenylpiracetam are going to be more apparent. Those will cause vastly different acute effects. For getting the feel of CDP versus GPC, that is going to take more time with each. Even then, you may not notice much of a difference subjectively.

Tried adderall yesterday, was my experienced normal? Hoping to find a good alternative.

Replying to [deleted] · You have nothing to feel guilty about. Drug usage isn't inherently morally wrong. Adderall can be used in moderation with little negative effect, or so I've read. NMDA antagonists

Our site does not say it needs choline with it. Where are you seeing that? Some people react better to racetams when taking a choline source, while others do better without it. Many people even get depressed with adding

Racetams are not pointless without choline. There are a lot of other actions they have apart from facilitating ACh transmission. You also cannot bundle all the racetams together like that. Many of them have very differe

Yeah, coluracetam is a great racetam. It goes great when stacked with phenylpiracetam, pyritinol, and emoxypine. Sometimes I add in oxiracetam too. That is another favorite of mine.
