Nuance: CDP Choline vs Alpha GPC

Original post in this thread

It's easy to find clinical comparisons between CDP and Alpha GPC, but those are hard to relate to.

I've tried both and I can't tell if I'm getting different effects or if they're pretty much the same. But here's the thing: I don't know what to look for. I figure that longer-term users who have experimented with both may have some insight on that. ???

What they were answering

Yeah, I'd probably make a good test subject for a neurochem lab. For one thing I never had much of a circadian clock. My natural day-night timing just drifts. That often ends up with the sleep-deprived burn-out feeling, especially when I have to resynch with the real world.

I have indeed tried Coluracetam, and was just contemplating whether to order 150 pounds of that stuff! I do seem to have an affinity. (Good guess on your part!). Phenylpiracetam is a nice energizer, but registers more like a caffeine boost.

I have tried both CDP and GPC, but I've been tending more toward CDP lately, and I'm not sure why--some sense of 'stability' for lack of a better word. I have started alternating those on every other day to see if I could define a difference. That was actually the reason for my original post.

I don't notice an additional boost from GPC (over CDP). Coluracetam puts me in a great groove for a while, but it doesn't necessarily get rid of the burn-out feeling. At least I'm functional. The trailing edge is steep--I'm instantly dead on my feet. Then I spring awake after 4 or 5 hours and start over. Maybe not a good thing in that respect. Racetams themselves are not a contributor to burn-out. That has happened my whole life as a result of the random sleep sync cycle. But they may play a part in the jolt-awake after 4 hours thing.

Have you tried supplementing vitamin D and B-12 in the morning? Then you can also pair it with low dose melatonin just before bed. That might get your circadian rhythm back in sync.

It definitely works. I roasted mine at 300*F for an hour. Anything that was in it is dead now, and all the starches have been broken down. It should be safe. Not sure if I'll try it again or throw it out. >Also, if this
