How we deal with thieves in Denmark

Replying to LauraEvangeline · Is that even legal? I mean I have no debt, no assets, and nothing I'm making payments to. Are they really allowed to do that?

Definitely. That's how most all salary/hourly workers pay their taxes. The government knows that if they relied on everyone to save up enough to cover it at the end of the year, people wouldn't have enough. You can request your employer lower the withholding if you want. But for…

How we deal with thieves in Denmark

Replying to LauraEvangeline · All I know is that this summer I worked a lot of over time, Originally made $400 before taxes, and then after taxes I had $300

That's withholding. You'll get that back. Make sure you have someone do your taxes to get you the most back. Your effective rate will be lower than 25%, for sure. Don't pay more than you need to.

How we deal with thieves in Denmark

Replying to LauraEvangeline · Well, I already pay 25% with my crappy minimum wage job, and see no benefits. I hear you actually get benefits there.

No you don't. At least, you should not be paying that much. The tax brackets are lower for that low of income, and there are many deductions and credits you can take. Talk to a tax professional.

But Officer They Are Smoking Marijuana!

Replying to Borktastic · someone called the cops on you for 'drinking *near* children'?? that's bloody mental.

I don't really blame him for being a little skeptical, since we were doing beer olympics with a kegs and beer games. However, we told him we had a permit and he just wouldn't have it. He sounded just like the guy in the video with the way he was questioning us. "But you can't dri…

But Officer They Are Smoking Marijuana!

Replying to anti_climax · Phoenix Metro AZ - liquor and beer permits are seperate but aren't precluded from being issued to the same vendor. Grocery store? Liquor and beer. Drug store? Liquor and beer. Gas

And in Tempe, if you pay $10 for a day permit, you can have a gathering in the park and drink beer in public! We had beer Olympics one year, and a tattle tale like the one on the video called the cops on us drinking in public "next to children." Cop showed up and we pulled out th…

Active Duty Soldier illegally disarmed and arrested.

Replying to Thumpster · Agreed on all counts. Many people have this wild-west image of Texas and think we can carry openly wherever we want. I just like to set the record straight when possible.

Wild West is Arizona. We can open carry any firearm, and no longer need a CCW permit to conceal.

Welcome to America (Cop vs German Tourist) [1:34]

Replying to TheHerbalGerbil · I’m by no means an expert in immigration law and practice, but I have a strong feeling that that has something to do with it.

You mean that they are more lenient if you are coming into the country for business?

Replying to huge_hefner · Oh ok, I figured you were talking about [this kind of highway.](http://imgur.com/4DvXdga)

Ohh no, I would never drive that fast on a non-divided highway. I was just trying to make up some time that we lost, since the highway across the Hoover Dam was backed up for miles, so I had to cut over though Laughlin instead. I was just strolling along at 97mph in a new civic.…

Replying to ethanlan · well, if they try and make you pay it, I'd imagine that be because both countries are in the EU. i doubt the US would have a similar agreement with germany.

Replying to ethanlan · to be fair, the guy is a german citizen so i'd like to see the US make him pay that fine

In Switzerland they make you pay on the spot if you are not a citizen. I got photo radared outside Zuric a couple years ago. Supposedly they dispatch a police car to pull you over when that happens. It happened to a colleague of mine. Knowing this, I speeded up and made it to the…

I was going the same speed as the guy in the video in the desert outside Las Vegas. My ticket was over $500! He got off easy. I'd rather take a little verbal lashing than pay that much again!

Is that true? I got a ticket in Sydney once, and they let me leave with no issues. Then they mailed it to my house and said my passport would be flagged and I would not be let back in until I paid it. But I have been back twice since then with no issues. I think they just say it…

FedEx dropped off an iPad mini a dad got for his daughter for Christmas. UPS Grinch guy came and stole it. UPS denied the claim, until they realized the dad caught it all on tape.

Replying to Mr_Titicaca · Well if we're gonna start talking about facts then I may as well just leave then...boo!!!!!

It's ok. It does make for a more interesting story that a man on bath salts ate another man's face. It gets sadder when it's just a mentally disturbed man eating a homeless man's face.
