Literally, a WTF post!

Replying to pants6000 · [Bell Labs](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_Labs) invented or was involved in the development of... just about everything that makes the modern world that way.

Yep, my grandfather was on the team that developed some of the first digital telephones at Bell Labs in New Jersey.

Same for me, except I am up to 40mg Zyrtec every day. I cannot even go a single day off antihistamines. Mine even moved to my airway, where it will swell and close it up. So it could quite literally kill me.

Replying to Celtic_Thunder · And further more, I apologise for coming off so rude. I know IPA is a big favorite, but around where I am it is the only thing people bring to parties, and I am just tired of it

No worries. Everyone's tastes are different. I do agree with you somewhat. The ridiculously strong IPA craze is very one-sided. I like the more complex IPAs, with a balanced hop and malt profile. My favorite beers are the really complex ones. They don't hit you with a ton of one…

Replying to Celtic_Thunder · IPA is the worst beer period.

What do you prefer? Also, there are many different IPAs. I like the ones that are brewed with hops from New Zealand and Australia. They are less bitter, and more floral, citrusy, and grapefruit flavored.

I made a beer called Osama Hop Laden. It was an IPA, and was bottled on the day Osama was (reportedly) killed. Thus the name.

Replying to Rhianonin · that sucks is it a common illness?

No, not common at all. That is why there is not a lot of progress in treatment or prevention. They are not even sure what causes the mast cells to release the histamine in the first place.

Replying to Rhianonin · that sucks. so its like an allergic reaction?

Yes, a bad one. It gets worse every year. I started out only having to take 1 Zyrtec a day. I have to take 4 now. I also have to have an inhaler now, for times when my airway closes. My doctors still have no better alternative yet. It sucks!

Replying to Rhianonin · does it hurt?

I have it worse than OP's friend. Mine starts to burn after it itches. So much so that I am in agony. Then my eyes get red and start swelling up and my airway closes. I have not gone a single day without at least 2 to 4 Zyrtec in 10 years.

I have it just as bad or worse than OP. I take 4 Zyrtec a day. With my antihistamines, everything is under control. No problems with sex, unless the female is a scratcher. Now if I did not take my Zrytec, it would be a whole other story! I would not make it a day without it, sex…

I see your frozen lock and your North Dakota winter and raise you a snow storm 33 miles above the arctic circle. (...plus kitty.)

Replying to Engineer3227 · 33 miles above the surface of the Earth is NOT space. Even 33 miles above the tip of Mount Everest doesn't put you into space.

Listen to this man, he's an engineer! You'd have to at least go ~220 miles above the surface to maintain orbit. The Kármán Line is 62 miles above the surface, which is considered the beginning of space. NASA seems to think that 50 miles is the limit.
