Wow, I didn't even think about it happening the other way around. I don't know how far or how long you'd have to drive to cool down the Windshield enough to prevent this. Imagine going 65 down the interstate, hit a bug, turn on wipers and all of the sudden 32 car pile-up.

Well since it's safety glass, it just made a huge crack down the middle. It shouldn't structurally damage it enough to cause you to crash, but who knows. I definitely did not expect it!
