I had a small chip in my windshield i didn't know was there. Turned heater on full power with snow still on the windshIeld. Came back ten minutes later and my windshield had cracked along the entire bottom. The only reason i found the chip was because i looked for the cause.

The opposite happened to me. It was 115 degrees out in Phoenix with my car in the sun, and I sprayed some wiper fluid on my window. It cracked right down the middle.
