Skin condition that leads to swelling on contact (xpost r/health)

It doesn't itch "a little" for everyone. I have it too, and for me it itches terribly unless I take allergy meds every day. Getting touched basically causes an allergic reaction that can flare up at a completely different part of my body. I was diagnosed when my allergist broke a tongue depressor in half and lightly scratched my forearm. Within a minute my entire arm, up to the shoulder, had broken out in itchy hives. They lasted for 20-30 minutes. It's gotten much worse than when it first started. I stopped taking allergy meds after 9-10 months on them (because I was going to get allergy tests), and even pulling on my already tied shoes would set me off. I cancelled the test and went back to zyrtec.
TL;DR Count your blessings, tokulix.
Edit: It's also gotten worse even with meds for me; I now have to take 15 mg of zyrtec daily to stay symptom-free as opposed to 10 mg a few months ago.

Same for me, except I am up to 40mg Zyrtec every day. I cannot even go a single day off antihistamines. Mine even moved to my airway, where it will swell and close it up. So it could quite literally kill me.
