InfiniFiber: Advanced Synbiotic Fiber by Nootropic Depot

InfiniFiber is officially available.

We engineered InfiniFiber as an advanced synbiotic, combining 11 distinct fibers with a spore-forming probiotic (LactoSpore®). Rather than a standard bulk supplement, we designed this formula specifically around fermentation kinetics.

By utilizing multiple fiber types with 5 different fermentation speeds, we're able to:

* Minimize GI Discomfort: Staggered fermentation rates mitigate the rapid gas production (bloating) common with standard fiber supplements.
* Maximize Microbial Support: Acts as targeted substrates to support 40+ beneficial microbial species throughout the entire digestive tract.
* Drive SCFA Production: Optimized to support the production of key short-chain fatty acids like propionate for metabolic health and satiety.
* Deliver Synbiotic Synergy: Pairs a precise balance of fermentable and non-fermentable fibers with highly stable LactoSpore® to ensure gastric survivability and efficacy.

Aaaaand the larger size is gone lol.

How does it compare to Loam?

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb · ND Owner

Large size is back in stock.

So Loam delivers a (claimed) total fiber amount (11.75g), pretty close to InfiniFiber. The issue is that we openly disclose the amounts of each type of fiber in InfiniFiber. Loam does not, so you have to make assumptions. You cannot verify if any ingredient is at a clinically effective dose. You cannot independently confirm the soluble/insoluble ratio, or the fermentable/non-fermentable ratios. They also have 6 fiber sources. We have 11, so ours is going to provide more diversity. They also don't list any insoluble fibers, so you are getting no bulking/structure fibers for your stool. One of their fiber sources is wheat dextrin, so no low FODMAP status like ours. They claim it is low FODMAP friendly, but you can't be with that wheat dextrin in there. They also state that it is fully clear in water, so that means it is almost 100% soluble fiber. This is VERY different than ours. Theirs will almost certainly ferment faster, giving more bloating and gas. Since they have no resistant starch like SolNul, you are not fermenting anything in the distal colon. It will all be fermenting in the proximal or mid colon.

Why does that matter? Well cancers in the colon have traditionally been higher in the proximal colon. This traditionally has happened later in life, as you age. This is the standard colon cancer you hear about in older people that doctors look out for when you are in your 60s and 70s. However, the instances of colon cancer in people under 50 have been shooting up like crazy! It is now the largest source of cancer death in people under 50, beating out all other forms of cancer. Where is most of this cancer occurring in these younger people? The DISTAL COLON. So this is a big shift that many people are not talking about. Getting enough fiber to the distal colon is crucial for younger people, and the only forms that do that are resistant starches like SolNul. Loam has NONE in their formula. This means they are not going to target the distal colon that is the source of much of this increase in cancer deaths in people under 50. We spent a lot of time researching and formulating InfiniFiber to be like nothing else on the market.

High level of what Loam lacks compared to InfiniFiber:

* No resistant starch (Solnul RS2 is InfiniFiber's most unique fiber from a metabolic health standpoint; it provides distal colon feeding, robust butyrate production, and Akkermansia support that no LOAM fiber replicates)
* No insoluble fiber at all (LOAM is entirely soluble, meaning zero mechanical bulking, stool-forming, or transit-time support. InfiniFiber's alpha cellulose and oat hull fiber build that physical stool structure component)
* No probiotic (LactoSpore gives InfiniFiber a synbiotic dimension LOAM doesn't have)
* Less total fiber (Loam's dose is 12g total powder, which they claim is 11.75g dietary fiber. I call bullshit on that, having done all the testing we did. That number is not right. They are honestly probably 10g or below on total dietary fiber when tested properly.)
* Contains wheat (This immediately excludes celiac and wheat-sensitive consumers)
* Proprietary blend/No transparency (Without fully disclosing each ingredient's amount, you have no idea what is really in there)

So honestly the two products are very different from each other. The fact that they claim 11.75g dietary fiber from a 12g dose means I know they are full of shit on the testing side. That's impossible, and anyone that has done fiber testing will tell you that. We get 12g dietary fiber from 15.88g of total powder weight. That's a very high fiber density that most do not reach. I would bet money that Loam has not done proper total dietary fiber lab testing on the finished blend, because that claim is impossible to meet.
