Hey everyone, it's been a while since I have made a post in this sub. However, I saw a new research study today that I wanted to bring up. It highlights why my main mission over the past 10 years has been to not only advance the lab testing and quality control standards of the industry, but also to educate consumers on what to look out for, and how things work in the background. We are all ingesting these products! We are putting them into our bodies, so it's crucial that companies selling them do everything necessary to ensure they are what they claim to be, and are pure and free from contaminants. That is unfortunately the vast exception to the rule. Many of you may remember my post about turkesterone results from last year.
That whole situation blew way up, and every jabroni on YouTube was making videos about it. Some were saying I was a liar and fraud, and just trying to sell products. Some were saying I was in for massive lawsuits. Most were just doing it to get their 5 m…
What they were answering

Question, and I get if you can't answer it, but I am curious because of my job. Let's say hypothetically (lol) a company I am close with has no idea of these issues, is it something you would try to reach out to them about? Or is that something you've tried and has now led to the screaming into the void thing..
I ask this because I'm seeing more good people than I thought existed in the industry but my perspective is super small. And also I would hate to find out a brand I use myself is shit. Industry related to niche ish supplements in general, not specifically nootropics.

We run our own independent testing lab now, so we definitely do testing for other companies.
I realize that many might just not know what they don't know. It's not an excuse in my mind, but I know many out there are not purposely doing no/bad lab testing. There are many bad actors out there, but there are many more that are just naive to what it takes to do things right. The main issue is that doing things right is costly. The cost of testing is only part of it. It's the cost of rejecting batches and possibly going out of stock that really makes brands not do it. It costs a lot of money building a quality system that can handle the rigor necessary to meet the standards needed to ensure every batch of every product is exactly what you claim it to be. I don't even need to know what company you work for. I guarantee you that if I bought some products and tested them, we would find failures. It's almost a certainty based on what I have seen over the years.
