...is quite low :-( I mean the number is 0.5 % ! Now that is low
Just got my capsules of polygala extract from ND. Maybe sublingually would be more effective than swallowing the pill ? has anyone tried ?
Antoher hint I read (on examine): take licorice with it to increase absorption
Maybe Mister has an idea?
ps: polygala absorption- "p" missing in the title. I cannot find a way to edit the title..

Regarding the licorice, my laymen conjecture is that black licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) that is common in the West and Chinese licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) that all the Chinese studies use might have different compositions that may or may not contribute to the bioavailability augmentation, just like different Rhodiola species have completely different effect spectrum outside that of salidroside. But you may have already looked into this direction.

18β-glycyrrhetinic acid is the main metabolite of glycyrrhizin, which is found in both Glycyrrhiza glabra and Glycyrrhiza uralensis. So it should not matter. Also, the study Examine cites for this effect didn't even look at DISS. It looked at a completely different saccharide.
