Different batch of adrafinil capsules?

So I had been buying ND adrafinil powder until they ran out. So I bought a 30 capsule bottle, and all was well. I then bought another that arrived like a week ago. Well, the powder in the capsules smells completely different this time. It formally (both powder and caps) had a rubbery taste, quite distinctive. This bottle has almost no smell, and I for some reason am getting zero effects from it. Where before 450mg of adrafinil was perfect, ive tried a dose all the way up to 1200mg and still, nothing.. waited 5 days, tried 600mg also, no effects. For context, I would take adrafinil 3 days a week, on an alternating schedule. Any insight as to why this would be? ND depot has always had top notch quality and excellent product. Should I reach out to their customer support? Has anyone had a similar experience with ND adrafinil?

That's very very cool and good luck to you guys! In my line of work I have to deal with people that say some generic brands don't work for them and the solution then is to listen to them and try another brand. I've always suspected that there is something there that's missing in my knowledge because it's just to many people to be placebo/nocebo every time.

The thing I have found is that our understanding of a specific topic is only limited by how deep we have looked into it. There is a never-ending pool of complexity to find if we keep trying. A chemist named Walter McCrone once said:
Every compound has different polymorphic forms and that, in general, the number of forms known for a given compound is proportional to the time and money spent in research on that compound.
I find this to be true for many things, actually. There is just so much more complexity to things laying underneath the surface. The limit of our understanding of that complexity is only limited by how much time and money we want to put into researching it. For most people adrafinil is adrafinil. However, we now have 5 different synthesis methods for it, and 4 distinct polymorphs that we have discovered so far. They all lead to the same thing chemically, but chemistry is only part of the equation. We are going to come out of this project not only with the most effective form of adrafinil, but with a much deeper understanding on a whole new frontier affecting how these chemicals work in our bodies.
