Different batch of adrafinil capsules?

So I had been buying ND adrafinil powder until they ran out. So I bought a 30 capsule bottle, and all was well. I then bought another that arrived like a week ago. Well, the powder in the capsules smells completely different this time. It formally (both powder and caps) had a rubbery taste, quite distinctive. This bottle has almost no smell, and I for some reason am getting zero effects from it. Where before 450mg of adrafinil was perfect, ive tried a dose all the way up to 1200mg and still, nothing.. waited 5 days, tried 600mg also, no effects. For context, I would take adrafinil 3 days a week, on an alternating schedule. Any insight as to why this would be? ND depot has always had top notch quality and excellent product. Should I reach out to their customer support? Has anyone had a similar experience with ND adrafinil?

What an excellent informative response! There's just so much that goes into something like this that I never even thought of. And you are 100% correct because I saved the bottle from the other order I got with capsules and they are the same Lot number.(ADRCS2021621) I suppose at this point it probably only has to do with tolerance which I was trying to avoid. The only reason that I thought it potentially could be maybe a difference in the adrafinil was the smell. But it honestly sounds like that makes zero difference. I have always said how excellent your customer support is and your well-thought-out and super informative response just backs that up. I suppose my options are to take a decently long tolerance break and see what happens after that. I love adrafinil but I can definitely function without it quite well haha. I really can't thank you enough for you taking the time out of your day to explain your process and everything. Is really super nice of you.

Yeah, I figured they were the same batch. We don't have very many batches coming through on Adrafinil, so there is just not much variability. Tolerance can be a strange beast. It is best to cycle things to help prevent it.
Glad to help explain things! It's a very complex thing with adrafinil and crystal structures. I am really happy we are close to finally explaining it, though! We even have been able to do some enantiopure synths, so we might eventually release some pure R-adrafinil. That will be really cool, too! If we do an R-adrafinil synth where we control the exact final crystal structure exactly, it could make the most potent adrafinil ever made!
