How would this compare to NAC in regards to potency? Is it possible that one could replace NAC with this and get similar effects without the negative GI effects of NAC?

Yeah, you could replace NAC with this if you are having GI issues with the NAC. I was surprised, but milk thistle even has some of the glutamate modulating effects that NAC has.
