Of course you're being targeted - you're a threat. You're doing what's right in the best possible way. Don't underestimate yourself. Just because they're Goliath and you're David doesn't mean they don't feel threatened by you. Nothing is more powerful than truth, and you have truth on your side.
Can you meet with someone at Amazon to discuss these concerns?

We have a marketing rep at Amazon that might be able to relay our stuff to someone that could make a difference. I am going to write up a letter explaining the entire situation, and hopefully we can get it in front of a person that can do something about it. The customer support reps in India certainly won't.
I think the base level idea of what they are trying to do is good. Amazon should be attempting to ensure the supplements sold on there are as they claim to be. However, science is complex. It doesn't fit into neat little policy boxes like Amazon wants, so they have to build their system to account for that. Requiring something that physically doesn't exist is obviously not living up to the spirit of what the program is trying to accomplish. Also, if they want to be hard line about it, and require testing from an ISO lab for lion's mane that doesn't currently exist, then they need to apply that equally to all vendors. Pull all the lion's mane at once, then. If I could send to an ISO lab for lion's mane, I certainly would, just to show Amazon. However, they don't exist. There are no ISO certified labs for lion's mane testing anywhere in the world, because their are no compendial methods for testing it, such as USP. We had to develop our own methods for it. We have validations for it all, and our science is spot on. We even used botanists at Alkemist to analyze the raw mushrooms used in our extract to confirm it was the correct species and fungal part, which is what we built our TLC methods off of. So we are seriously doing higher-level mushroom testing than any other lab out there. However, until USP creates a compendial method for it, ISO will not certify a lab for lion's mane testing. That's just how the system works. Amazon doesn't understand that, though.
