What is the role of pyroglutamic acid in the alcohol defense formula?

One of the problems that I have developed over time when I drink alcohol is that it increases the frequency and ease of developing "blackouts", added to that the rebound effect of anxiety has also increased over time. When I was younger, I didn't get those blackout effects.
I wonder if pyroglumatic acid is included in the formula to prevent the harmful effects of alcohol on the NMDA receptor. As I know alcohol works by activating GABA receptors and by blocking NMDA receptors, it is the combination of both that produces the rebound anxiety and the blackouts. The main problem with alcohol for me right now are the blackouts. I also drink less amount and less frequently than when I was young but as you can know it is difficult to not drink when you socialize

This was great :)
And do you know how it compares to good old Piracetam?
I have basically felt that Piracetam accelerates the drunken process, I have read that some argue that this is due to its effects of increasing blood flow. For example if I remember well, Noopept does not do this, on the contrary I remember two times in the past were Noopept made it difficult for alcohol to take effect. I also take Piracetam like 800 - 1000 mg before a social gathering where alcohol is involved (Along with NAC and Vit C). But I have not found out what effects racetams have once one has already started drinking, precisely because of the experiences I have read and my past experience that racetams make one drunk faster.

It's effects are pretty interesting, actually. We have noticed a nootropic effect from taking Alcohol Defense when not drinking, and some of that is due to the pyroglutamic acid. I would not say it is the same as piracetam, but you can definitely feel the similarities. We designed Alcohol Defense as a post-drinking stack, not pre-drinking, for that reason. It's meant to protect you and sober you up after you are done drinking. We have done testing on it pre-drinking, though. It definitely prevent alcohol from working as well. This means both the good and bad aspects. NAC and emoxypine are the best for pre-drinking. Alcohol Defense should just sick to post.
