What is the role of pyroglutamic acid in the alcohol defense formula?

One of the problems that I have developed over time when I drink alcohol is that it increases the frequency and ease of developing "blackouts", added to that the rebound effect of anxiety has also increased over time. When I was younger, I didn't get those blackout effects.
I wonder if pyroglumatic acid is included in the formula to prevent the harmful effects of alcohol on the NMDA receptor. As I know alcohol works by activating GABA receptors and by blocking NMDA receptors, it is the combination of both that produces the rebound anxiety and the blackouts. The main problem with alcohol for me right now are the blackouts. I also drink less amount and less frequently than when I was young but as you can know it is difficult to not drink when you socialize

Usually my approach to drinking is to take things before and then while drinking for sobering up.
My problem currently has to do with blackouts. When you keep talking and doing things but then don't remember it, it is not encoded in memory.
Those memory gaps I have noticed with NMDA antagonists + alcohol. I am currently on 3mg of Memantine.
Do you know what could be the mechanism by which memantine interacts with alcohol and at a certain point produces blackouts? Wonder if Pyroglutamic acid or DHM could solve that problem. I would not like to stop consuming memantine, since I have noticed positive effects when using it, besides that it is a good neuroprotective.
If this comment is against the rules, I have no problem getting it removed.
I live outside the US, so it is not very convenient to buy capsules.

Ohh yeah, man... It's the memantine! That shit is potent stuff. Back in the Ceretropic days I was flavoring the memantine solution we were making, and I got a bit too much dose during that formulation. I literally could not leave the house for three days. I couldn't drive a car. I couldn't ride a bike. It was horrible. That was without alcohol, too. Combining it with alcohol is a sure fire way to really black out. You are depressing glutamatergic currents way too much. It also has an 80 hour half life, which makes things build up over time. 3mg/day memantine will build up to steady-state levels that correspond to much higher than that as an acute dose.
The pyroglutamic acid and DHM could help a bit, as they will antagonize that effect on the NMDA receptor. I have never personally tried it, though. So I can't say from a practical sense how effective it will be. The mechanism is there for them to help, though.
