Hey guys,
During lockdown I put a little belly fat - Is there any supplement that could help? Maybe berberine or green tea extract?
Thanks!

Interesting stuff. You linked the rat study twice, here's the one you meant: Physiological effects of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) on energy expenditure for prospective fat oxidation in humans: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Can EGCG Reduce Abdominal Fat in Obese Subjects?
Though to be fair, the abstract's answer to this question is "No." But because science can't be simple, there's a few big things to note without even looking at the study details: They used only 2x150 mg per day, and, unlike yours, the product is in capsules and without piperine.

Exactly! EGCG's main issues are instability in the GI tract, which is why enteric coating it with piperine was crucial. The mechanisms are there if you can get EGCG intact into the body. We have many anecdotes in our office about our enteric coated EGCG leading to reduced abdominal fat. It's not a double-blind placebo-controlled study, but I have also found the same effect in me personally. I would LOVE to have a human study on EGCG in an enteric coated formulation with piperine to see if it would confirm the results we are seeing.
