Effects of Tongkat Ali on body comp/exercise?

Original post in this thread

Has anyone noticed positive effects of tongkat (2 or 10%) on body composition or exercise performance? I’m mostly interested in body comp/lean mass/fat loss effects.

I’ve heard a couple instances of it, but want to know how prevalent may or may not be.

Hey - great experiences with ND. Thank you for being active on Reddit. Have recommended ND to friends and family.

I just started Tongkat 10% from ND.

1. What else have you noticed taking Tongkat?
2. How long did it take to take effect?
3. When do you dose (time of day) and what dosage do you take?

I also a bunch of other nootropics from ND but I want to be conservative and start slow. I'm definitely starting with Tongkat, but would you recommend maybe 1-2 other substances that would stack well (primarily looking to increase energy/drive and reduce anhedonia).

* L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1 Powder
* KSM-66 Ashwagandha Extract 300mg Capsules
* GS15-4 Panax Ginseng Capsules | 200mg
* MicroZinc Capsules | 20mg | Optimized Zinc
* Caffeine + L-Theanine Capsules
* Sulbutiamine Powder
* Uridine Monophosphate Powder (Disodium Salt)
* Tongkat Ali Extract Tablets | 100mg | 10% Eurycomanone
* Agmatine Sulfate Powder
* Acetyl L-Carnitine HCL 500mg Capsules (ALCAR)
* Cognizin Citicoline Powder

Mushrooms:

* Lion's Mane
* Cordyceps-M
* Turkey Tail
* Reishi 415

Edit: I ended up creating a Poll to make this easier:

1) Tongkat has improved my energy and mood levels, too.

2) I got acute effects, but I would say they were really apparent after a week.

3) I take one capsule of 2% and one tablet of 10% in the morning.

I would say GS15-4 and cordyceps would be good to start with for combo if you are looking for energy and motivation.

Stick to just agmatine. Most people find that to be sufficient without another source of arginine. Taurine, cordyceps, and beta alanine are good, though. >Adding something else for energy, such as dynamine or a B comple

Cordyceps, tongkat ali, KSM-66, and shilajit are the ones to combine with it. That will get your motor running.
