What mood boosters ACTUALLY work out there?

So not that I am depressed or anything like that but sometimes my mood goes up and down and am just looking for an over the counter product or supplement or a nootropic that actually increases one's mood, helps with anxiety and stress, makes you happier than usual etc. I have tried some random ones here and there but couldn't tell a significant difference.
Something I would find at like a walgreens, nootropic store online, vitamin shop, amazon etc. I have heard of things like Sam-e, 5htp, st johns wort, etc. There are so many out there. Not sure which ones truly help or work.
Any supplements or nootropics you have tried lately that actually work for boosting mood? Drop them down!

It's going to depend on the person. What works best for one person might do nothing for you, or have side effects. We like to talk in generalities, but people's brain chemistries vary a lot more than most realize. So finding what works best for you is going to be a process you have to go through. There are some things that many people report success with, though.
* Polygala
* Nigella sativa
* 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone
* Tongkat ali
* Lion's mane
* Magnolia bark
* Lemon balm
* L-theanine
* Ashwagandha
