How safe is palmitoylethanolamide(PEA)?

I recently ordered some PEA and it just arrived in the mail today. I was doing a bit of extra research and came across a Reddit thread that had a user asking about whether there was any risk with PEA because it is a COX2 inhibitor. They were asking about whether it could cause a vascular event because of this. Is it safe for me to take PEA?

Found this discussion when researching Oleoylethanolamide and was curious how it interacts with Palmitoylethanolamide. Is the other previously mentioned pairing product ,that was being developed, any closer to market?

Are you referring to oleamide, or actually oleoylethanolamide (OEA)? I have not personally tried OEA yet. I have some at our office, though. It's different than palmitoylethanolamide and oleamide in that it does not hit the endocannabinoid system like they do. It's a PPAR-α agonist. So it more signals the breakdown of lipids.
