How safe is palmitoylethanolamide(PEA)?

I recently ordered some PEA and it just arrived in the mail today. I was doing a bit of extra research and came across a Reddit thread that had a user asking about whether there was any risk with PEA because it is a COX2 inhibitor. They were asking about whether it could cause a vascular event because of this. Is it safe for me to take PEA?

OEA was what I was bringing up. Just read my comment nd saw how disjointed it was. I was wondering if it is okay to take with Palmitoylethanolamide? I thught I saw that Palmitoylethanolamide was also a PPAR agonist, but might be remembering wrong. I was curious about the other product you mentioned under development was any closer to market.

I don't see a reason you couldn't take OEA with PEA. Where are you getting your OEA? It's very difficult to test properly.
Palmitoylethanolamide is also a PPAR-α agonist. That's true. PEA has direct affinities for endocannabinoid receptors that OEA doesn't, though. PEA seems to have affinities for CB1, GPR55, GPR119, and TRPV1, while also leading to an up-regulation in CB2 expression. OEA seems to mainly have affinities for GPR119 and PPAR-α. So they are similar, but with differing affinities. They will actually pair nicely with each other, along with oleamide.
Development of the other product I was talking about has stalled. The patent holder of it has become very hard to get a hold of since the start of COVID-19. We are regularly trying to get movement from them, but it has been a challenge.
