I just happened to notice on the ND website it says coluracetam is "much more lipid soluble than piracetam, and not very water soluble." some how I never caught this about colu before. does this mean it should be taken with a fat source for best absorption?

No, that's a myth that fat-soluble things need to be taken with fat to absorb. Coluracetam is also soluble in water, albeit sparingly, and its LogP is less than 5. So it can absorb perfectly fine. The only time that comes into play is if the LogP is over 5, and it really just will not dissolve in water at all, and it forms insoluble crystals. Then dissolving it in a lipid carrier helps. That is pretty rare, though. If it has a LogP of over 5, but doesn't form insoluble crystals, you can just control the particle size and have it absorb. So having it be micronized can increase the surface area and allow it to absorb.
