I am trying to make my first purchase with Nootropics Depot. As you get 10% off as a first purchaser I decided I would stock up - to the amount of about $390 USD. I get this email a few days later, about noon'ish:

Thanks for your order! We have received payment on your order, however, our fraud protection software has flagged the order due to a recent amount of fraud. Because this is your first large order with us, our fraud prevention requires another step of verification. Typically this verification is handled by getting a scan of your identification, credit card used (you may redact all but the last four digits), and a copy of a utility bill that verifies your billing address. Once we have this information, we will then be able to approve this purchase, and we will not need to verify future orders.

If we do not receive a response regarding the verification of your order by the end of the day, we will unfortunately have to cancel your order. Sorry for any inconvenience.

You may use this secure form to send us your proof of identification for this order:

Also, more than justice, I think there needs to be understanding.

This brouhaha could have been greatly controlled if you had been open about the difficulties that have been facing Nootropics Depot recently. Plenty of people on here are asking stupid questions like "what goes well with caffeine?" and I'm sure that people would appreciate a post from the owner of ND giving a heads-up about the other side of any inconveniences that might come of a difficult situation on your end.

Ceretropic and ND--and the nootropics industry as we know it in general--has thrived through a very open avenue of communication between the consumer base and the vendors. The supplement industry was not born this way. The pharmaceutical industry was not born this way. Trying to adhere to their structures of customer interaction does not seem tenable, especially given the vicissitudes of cyberspace and the chances of something catastrophic like this happening.

I'm not talking about calling out fraudsters. What I'm saying is that if something like this happens, to alert the community of the situation as per your seminal response to this submission. Keep in mind the kind of value you have in this community, and don't think of it as just being a whiner, or using social media as a platform for your company. There is a lot more to it than that; the security that you have provided by giving people someon…

I don't think most people want to constantly hear about all the shit we are dealing with. You might, along with some loyal customers. However, most people are not that invested in things. I could be wrong. It might make some sense to post it on /r/NootropicsDepot. However, very few people subscribe there.

Has anyone tried Excelerol? I'm interested in trying it because it is apparently one of the best nootropics out there, but I'm a bit suspicious because I've never heard anyone talk about it on this subreddit.

Yep, my fault guys. I'll just stop posting, and things will get better. It's all on me... You can all go back to caffeine/L-theanine, long winded modafinil, and "does piracetam work" posts. No need to advance the communi

A Note Regarding Ceretropic's Caffeine/NALT

TLR were not telling people the ingredients. I never expected them to explain their production processes. I expected them to tell people the compounds they were consuming, rather than giving them proprietary names. I did

What is the best nootropic for someone looking primarily for a boost of energy and motivation that's stronger than caffeine but less extreme than amphetamines?

Replying to [deleted] · In case anybody wants to accomplish this with drugs, I've been using 60mg vyvanse + 1g psilocybin mushrooms for a while. Take both with a hardy meal and 2 glasses of water.

Are you joking or serious? You take amphetamines and a low dose of psilocybin as nootropics?

Less may be More

Replying to Reeses007 · Totally agree with this. I would recommend people trying ingredients by themselves in order to build a stack that they react well to. I've never understood the mentality to use abs

This is a big problem I am seeing with people new to nootropics. They want to immediately jump into a stack, and do not want to put in the time to try thing by themselves, and see how each one affects them in isolation.
