Having taken Bacopa for a while, I am interested to see that many people experience drowsiness and loss of motivation...although it is recommended in the FAQ how likely is it that it is impacting my motivation?

But what's the difference ? If Bacopa decreases dopamine production while Modafinil is supposed to increase , it looks like they cancel each other effect at least on the dopamine level.

Modafinil does not increase dopamine production. Modafinil blocks the dopamine transporter, increasing levels in the synapse for a short period. Production of dopamine itself is not changed.
