Same product, different vendors, different results. Is this normal? Powder City/Ceretropic

Due to the Great Powder City Crisis of 2016 I had to find another source for my Adrafinil. I researched reputable vendors and finally settled on Ceretropic. My experience with PC's Adrafinil has always been clean, long lasting and extremely effective. The Adrafinil from Ceretropic felt off, clunky and delayed. I had to reconfigure dosage all over again even though I've been using Adrafinil for almost a full year now, in the end wasting product and therefore money. I am not saying that something is wrong with Ceretropic's product, only that it did not give me the specific effects that I have come to associate with Adrafinil.

What I want to know from you, O Great Reddit Community, is if differences like these are to be expected from one vendor to the next, or if nootropics and their effects are generally consistent across the board. I have only ever used PC, so I have nothing but this one instance to use as a comparison.

I'd just like to have a reliable backup in case something like this temporary shortage happens again in the future. What say you, wise ones? Should I expect similar experiences in the future with other companies? Have you?

This is true, which is why both Powder City and Ceretropic do in house lab testing on every batch they get. It's like, the whole reason they are the two most trusted companies here.

I also buy Powder City's product from time to time, and run it through our lab. It's been the exact same every time. I even get some people saying one of PC's products did not work. So they send it to me. Then I test it, and it is perfectly fine. I've had some people buy one batch from us, then say the next one did not work, but the batches were the exact same. I just had a customer swear up and down that his previous Phenibut from us was amazing, and the new batch did nothing. They are THE EXACT SAME! I had my lab run FTIR, HPLC, melting point, and pH testing. They are both from the same synthesis lab, same FTIR spectrum, same purity via HPLC, same melting point, and same pH in solution. They are as similar as two identical chemical compounds can be. Yet this dude says one works perfect and the other doesn't work at all. It's insanity!

I have multiple batches of Powder City Adrafinil in our lab, and they are all identical to ours. I really don't know what to tell people anymore. It's got to be in people's heads, or there is just something modern science does not fully understand. Because all our analytical testing equipment shows they are the same. Milling size does differ. If someone is using scoops to dose, then it could certainly affect it. This is why I implore people to never use scoops to dose. Always use a scale. That can be the only thing I can think of. If ours is milled finer than Powder City's, then the same volume will actually weigh less. It's just like powdered sugar vs. granular sugar.
