Are nootropics illegal in the UK yet?

I've heard about a blanket ban on nootropics in the UK, but I don't know much about it. Is this ban already in place?

Because it is not found in nature, and people sometimes abuse it. All it takes is for the FDA to take interest in it, and start moving to regulate it. It's all up to the FDA, and what they choose to go after.
