I'm hoping this post serves as a petition of sorts to the awesome vendors over at Ceretropic. Show your support if you're also waiting on this!

Have you considered biosynthesis rather than solid phase peptide synthesis? For example something like the Daedalus platform? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3241668/ Its been hugely scaled up since that paper using large bioreactors.
I spent one of my PhD rotations working on it with Colin, Roland Strong and Jim Olson at Fred Hutchinson and it is fantastic for producing small disulfide bonded peptides (we were using it to express candidate peptides for brain cancer drugs, this: http://www.fredhutch.org/en/labs/clinical/projects/project-violet.html). I imagine that it could be easily adapted to the peptides you're producing, although you would still have to find a way to add the adamantane in the case of P21.

How do they alter the biosynthesis to achieve the specific sequences? Would it only be able to be used for standard amino acid sequences?
