This increases my interest much more, but one thing I'll point out is that Russia has been churning out a suspicious amount of compounds with extremely promising results that never really go anywhere. My suspicion is that bioethics in Russia are far looser than they are in the West, what with the extreme prevalence of general corruption in Russia.
To be honest, I'm not really inclined to trust Russian research on account of this cultural problem that they're currently experiencing. I'm certainly not saying all Russian research is bullshit, however I'm very cautious when it comes to relying upon it.

For sure, Russia has been churning out a lot of compounds, and we should scrutinize them thoroughly. We need greater interest in some of these compounds, to hopefully get some well designed studies from other research organizations going. As with any new substance, there are risks, and caution should be taken.
But I am happy that Russia is giving us some interesting new things to investigate.
