Phenylethylidenehydrazine Update?

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone had an update on the phenylethylidenehydrazine synthesis?
I would also like to bring attention to a few novel compounds, that may be interesting to further research for anxiolytic and or depression purposes: Eptapirone, Flesinoxan, Aloradine.

Ahh yes, but amphetamines are illegal whereas phenylethylamine can be sold for human consumption in supplement form in the open. ;P
It is so cheap too!!
Shulgin also said, and I'm paraphrasing what i've seen others say about what they say Shulgin said, that phenylethylamine is worthless as it is. But from what i gather he seemed more interested in very strong noticeable effects rather than more subtle nootropic effects.
So, is there not a way to modify phenylethylamine so that it might make it better as a nootropic/cognitive enhancer drug (like cross the BBB easier without having to use potentiators) while also not crossing that line into it being an amphetamine?

Amphetamine is very close to phenylethylamine. Any modifications to prevent the breakdown of it by MAOI are going to make that compound a structural analog to a schedule 2 substance, which the DEA does not take too kindly to. The closest you can get would be N-Methylphenylethylamine, and even it is broken down by MAO-B pretty rapidly. I thought about getting some NMPEA a while back, just to try it. It's in a few preworkout supplements. There is a lot of sketchy shit in many of those preworkout supplements.
